
Tom has tried over 70 civil jury trials over a 38-year career. He has tried jury trials in 25 different counties throughout the State of Indiana. He has also presented oral arguments before the Indiana Court of Appeals, Indiana Supreme Court, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Tom is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the preeminent organization of trial lawyers in the United States and Canada which limits membership to no more than 1% of the states total lawyer population. Tom is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He previously held the position of President of the Indiana Chapter of ABOTA and has also been presented their Civility Award. Tom became a registered mediator over 20 years ago. He mediates all types of civil matters including personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, commercial and business disputes.
Tom was raised in Mishawaka, Indiana. He is a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington and the Indiana University School of Law Indianapolis. For 25 years he was the principal of the law firm Schultz & Pogue, LLP, in Indianapolis.
When he is not working, Tom enjoys hiking, fishing, and kayaking as well as following both professional and college football teams. Tom has been married for 36 years and has three children and one grandchild.
