Meet Chic Born

S. R. “Chic” Born brings many years
of experience at Ice Miller LLP representing management in labor relations matters including litigation, arbitration, negotiations and administrative proceedings before local, state and federal agencies to
The Mediation Group. Chic has also mediated many civil cases over the past 20 years.

Selected the past 5 years as one of Indiana’s Top Ten Super Lawyers, Chic served as president of both the Indiana State Bar Association (1997-98) and the Indianapolis Bar Association (1988). From 1988 to 1998, he was a member of the American Bar Association House of Delegates.

Mr. Born has been invited to make presentations to numerous organizations including the American Bar Association, the American Hospital Association, the American Arbitration Association, the American Foundrymen's Society, the Indianapolis and Indiana Chambers of Commerce, Indiana Manufacturers' Association, Indiana School Boards Association, and the annual IU-NLRB Seminar.

Mr. Born is now, or has been, on employer labor relations and OSHA committees of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Associated General Contractors of Indiana, and the Indiana Manufacturers Association.

Chic and wife, Brenda, are the proud parents of 3 children and 5 grandchildren. They reside in Indianapolis where they enjoy golf, travel, fly fishing and amateur auto racing.
